Unroll this little guy, and he’s a blanket. Roll him up and he’s a bear! This project works up very quickly in bulky yarn and makes a great gift. Two large buttons attached securely hold it closed when rolled up.

Welcome back!
This is so cute. I will have to try it!
I hope you do! I’d love to see pictures!
I love coming to your site, it’s amazing. I wish though that in the patterns that you show using bulky yarn that you could have a pattern that uses regular yarn weight it’s hard for my hands to crochet bulky yarn. I have found several afghan patterns also that I love the look but I can’t make them because of the yarn weight.
Hi Sandy,
This blanket can be made in worsted weight, it just turns out to be more of a stroller blanket or lovie. Check out this project on Ravelry that uses Caron Simply Soft. I think it’s even cuter than the one I made! She said it would work out great for a car seat or swing so it might be an option if you want to make this blanket.
I’m so glad you like coming to my site! 🙂 I’m releasing a new baby blanket pattern tomorrow that uses worsted weight if you want to check it out.
Love this and will make it, but I will have to come up with a clever way – Possibly ribbon to secure the rolled blanket. I do not want to use buttons that could come off i and be a choking hazard.
