Last week I released the Baby Bear Hat pattern and this week I’m excited to release the matching mittens! The set will be complete next week when the matching booties pattern comes out. (See them here!)
I really loved making this set and I love that it fit my youngest son still when I tried it on him at four months. The booties were a little tight (they were made in a newborn size!) but it fit and he was a great little model. I have been blessed with one of the happiest babies I have ever seen. He smiles at everyone and is already such a people person. I love watching the personalities of my kids bloom. They are alike yet so different at the same time. I really love being a mom!
Here he is modeling the set:
I was lucky enough to snap this picture while he was smiling at his oldest brother. All you have to do is talk to him for about 10 seconds and you will be rewarded with that grin. π

I love them – thanks so much for the pattern.
Will be making them for my niece’s baby who is dinosaur related!

What a great idea!! I bet they will turn out super cute! Next week I will be releasing the matching booties and they also have the little claws… it would make a nice dinosaur set. π

good post
Beth
I’m curious if you use the smaller hook just for the ribbing then switch to the bigger hook for the remainder. I saw it said start with small hook but I never saw when to switch to the larger one.
amanda
Hi Beth!! You are right – you switch to the larger hook after the ribbing. I’ll change the pattern to reflect that. π
