I love crochet bags. In fact, I have designed several myself! There is something so satisfying about taking the time to craft a bag and getting compliments on it wherever you go. Plus, it really is something you can use every day! Since bags have really been on my mind lately I have decided to round up a collection of 10 free crochet bag patterns that I love. Click on the photos to go to the free patterns.
I hope you enjoyed this free crochet bag pattern roundup! These are some great totes and any of them would make a great project. Be sure to pin this and save it for later!

I am very confused with your color-block bag. I cannot get the dropped yarn to turn up on the side I need it, so it is looking very strange having a piece of yarn stretched to the other side…can you send me a short video of how you are doing the color changes from row to row please! I love love love the bag and so want to make it, but can’t get past this color change debacle! Laurie

Hi Laurie!! I had the exact same problem when I first began doing color charts with crochet. I haven’t made a video yet for this but these are the videos I used when I first started changing colors in the middle of the rows: First part of sc intarsia. The video should go automatically to part 2 where she shows how to bring the yarn to the back of the work. That’s the real secret to it – always bring your yarn to the back (so on wrong side rows you actually always bring it towards you!) Hopefully these videos will help – if not let me know! I think once you see these videos it will make sense like it did for me. 🙂 Just remember to use the sc flo and sc blo instead of how she is just doing sc and it should go smoothly from here.
