Hello everyone! Time for another Tutorial Tuesday video – this time I’m showing you how to complete the front post double crochet stitch. This stitch can be used for creating texture on the side of the work that is facing you. It is useful for crochet cables, ribbing, and interesting stitch patterns. I often use front post double crochet and back post double crochet together for ribbing on the edges of my garments and occasionally I will use it for cable patterns.
Don’t be intimidated by crocheting around the post! It’s not really any more difficult than a regular double crochet – the difference is in where you put your hook. I wish there were more videos like this around when I was learning how to crochet. I’m sure there were tutorial videos, I just didn’t know about them! It would have made things a lot easier! Hope you enjoy.
Happy crocheting!
