If you have a knitting machine (or if you are thinking about buying one) then you have probably been keeping an eye out for good knitting machine patterns! My first introduction to knitting machines was a viral tik tok of someone making a beanie. As it turns out, you can make a lot more than just hats!
So what is a knitting machine anyway? Well, there are a few different types of knitting machines, but today we’ll be focusing on the circular ones. The ones I see mentioned the most are the Addi Express, the Addi King Size, and the Sentro. Their circular shape makes them well suited to making beanies, but there are many more knitting machine patterns out there for you to try!
With machine knitting patterns, be sure to keep an eye on the number of needles required for the project you are wanting to make. These machines come in different sizes, and we’ve listed the size for each pattern.
There are so many amazing knitting machine patterns out there! Today we’ll be featuring 25 of our favorites. We have free patterns for stuffed toys, accessories, stuff for around the house, and even impressive wearables like women’s sweaters and shorts. So I guess instead of asking what you can make on a knitting machine we should be asking what can’t you make on a knitting machine?
Whether you have used your knitting machine a million times or it’s still sitting in the shipping box because you’re intimidated to use it, I bet that you can find a few knitting machine patterns here to pique your interest. No matter your knitting skills, you can learn to use a knitting machine. Scroll down and prepare to be inspired!

Final Thoughts on Knitting Machine Patterns
Writing this post was a total eye opener for me. There are so many amazing machine knitting patterns out there!
A knitting machine is an easy way to make items for a spring vendor market (or any season, really!). This is a way for avid knitters to make items fast, especially with chunky yarns. Sentro machines and the Addi Express king size machines are super popular and we’ve included lots of patterns for my machine knitters out there, including a fun video tutorial!
Some popular items to make include beanies, stuffed toys, fingerless gloves, a pillow cover, and there are tons of patterns out there for more complicated projects.. Most hand knit patterns that are worked in the round can be made on an addi machine or one like it. It takes just a bit of practice to get the right tension, but then it’s easy peasy. And you can even learn to make flat panels with a circular knitting machine!
Don’t forget, sharing is caring! Send this free knitting pattern round-up to all your knitting friends so they can join in on the fun too! Bookmark this page or save the link to your Pinterest board for amazing knitting patterns.
