I will admit it – I am officially “hooked” on designing crochet jewelry!  It’s so fun, simple, and quick!  I created one project for a magazine that needed a few jewelry findings, and once I saw the selection of findings I was inspired to keep creating.  Every time I go check out the jewelry findings section at a local store I find another project just calling my name.  It doesn’t take much convincing to get me crocheting!!

I created this necklace to show off this awesome slide clasp I found.  I’m imagining more projects with this because it doesn’t look like a clasp at all and I like having such a pretty way of fastening.

Wet Blocking the Finished Necklace

Sew end bars to short ends.

Sewing on the End Bars

Attach clasp with jump rings.  (Of course I didn’t take a picture of this step!  I found this tutorial that explains it well!)  You get a good look at the jump rings in the photo above with the clasp.  I attached one jump ring to each end bar then one end of the clasp to each jump ring.

You’re done!!

I’m sorry, but Joann has discontinued their program for bloggers and I can’t find these clasps anymore. I will have to remove the links. Your best bet for finding something similar will be to check at your local store.
