I have had this pattern ready for quite a while and something kept holding me back from putting it up on the blog. Not sure why, I love this little guy and he is a cutie! I wanted him to have something a little different from most crocheted teddy bears and be able to hold something but also have his little paws held together when he wasn’t holding anything. My husband had the great idea to use some strong magnets and it worked like a charm!! The magnets keep his paws together unless you want him to hold something or you pull them apart. Then, when you get them close enough, they snap back together. My boys love that about him and have asked to keep him, and of course I said they could.
For those of you who have been following my blog you know we have three boys and that I have always dreamed of a family with four kiddos. We are expecting #4 in December and just found out yesterday it’s another BOY!! I never imagined I would live in a house of all boys but at this point I was hoping for another boy because with three already it would just be easier. We have an attic full of boy baby clothes, toys, etc and it’s so easy to just get them all washed up after being outside or at the beach or wherever all together. We are so excited!!
So, to celebrate our upcoming new arrival I braided a length of light blue yarn and tied it as a bow and had this little bear hold a football feltie to announce our newest little guy. I hope you love this little stuffie as much as we do!
