It appears I have been on a bracelet kick lately!  I have been so inspired by the jewelry findings I see at my local Joann.

Buy the ad-free PDF of this pattern in my shop here!

I found a set of charms that had “faith”, “love”, and this smaller one that says “believe” on one side and “inspire” on the other.  I had no idea what I was going to do with them at the time, but I bought them because I really liked them.

I set about to make a bracelet with some of my crochet thread stash and when I was putting the clasp on I thought one of these charms would really add to the bracelet – and I was right.  I love it this way!

I have already worn this several times and received compliments and questions about where I got it.  It’s always humbling when people like my work and I love being able to say that I made it myself.

This was a very quick project and is only 5 rows.  It does use size 10 crochet thread so it is helpful to be a little familiar with the smaller stitches, but even if you are not it is still a fairly easy project.

The hardest part is crocheting into the third loop of the hdc in the second row.  This was the first time I had done this and I like the result!  This post from My Hobby is Crochet is what I used to help me determine exactly where the third loop was.  I’ll have a video tutorial using this crochet thread up soon!

I really want to make this Inspire bracelet, but the only thread I have right now (and quite a lot of it) is Coboo #3. Can I make this work and if yes, a little help on how please.

      Hi Lillian,
I’m not quite sure how the Coboo would substitute for this because I’m sure it is quite a bit thicker. The width wouldn’t be a problem but getting the length right to fit the wrist would with this big of a yarn substitution. I’m not sure it would be a good switch.

What about size 3 crochet thread. I just cannot resist a sale! I had found a beautiful pink bracelet online and it called for the #3 and of course when I went to buy it online, I saw all of these colors and figured I could make one of each color(I am sure you know where I am going with this)and by the time I got the thread, I couldn’t find the pattern. I know I printed it out but the senior moment kicked in. I HAVE to find a lot of bracelet patterns that call for the #3!!!

I am making the inspired bracelet. It is a bit too long for my small wrist. How can I alter your pattern to make it smaller for my wrist? I dont know how to gauge the right number of chains to have the design come out right.
    Thanks!

You should be able to work this pattern repeat in any odd number of sts. So if you have the original chain, you can see how many sts you would need to subtract to get it the right length and then follow the pattern instructions, noting the difference in st count.
