Bunny Cat Toy
These kinds of toys with something on a string attached to a stick are my cats’ favorites. We call them kitty fishing poles in our house. Happy Crocheting!

Hi. HELP!
I love cats and foster kittens every summer. My daughter and I recently lost 2 of our cats and are temporarily catless. I really like the cat toys you have made but I have a concern. I have been told that it is dangerous to give kitties crochet or knitted cat toys because they chew on them and may possibly ingest some of the yarn which would then wind around their intestines. I don’t know if this is true and additionally, I was given a crochet cat ball purchased from a store but given by the Humane Society of Summit County here in Ohio.
Do you have cats? Have they played with your crocheted toys? Please let me know your thoughts on this,
amanda
Hi! I do have cats and yes, they have played with crocheted cat toys. If there are any concerns about cats ingesting the fibers, I would suggest supervision when the cats are playing with hand made toys, although there are even stuffed toys sold in stores that have fiberfill which would potentially be ingested.
