Whip up several of these easy mini stockings for your tree or as gift toppers!
Design Story and Inspiration for this Mini Stocking
I love making socks and slippers, so I thought I would use the same construction methods to create a little stocking and it worked! I love this little stocking and hope you love it, too!
I designed this pattern as part of the 2024 Holiday Maker’s Challenge, where we encourage each other to work to our holiday deadline. There are a few criteria for our patterns in the challenge, which are:
1. Uses stash yarn
2. Is easy to intermediate
3. Is small so it doesn’t take a long time to make (we have a lot of gifts to make, okay?)
4. Is well received by gift recipients
This fits the bill for these criteria, and I love how functional and cute they are.

Yarn Options for this Free Tiny Crochet Stocking Pattern
You can really use any yarn you like for this pattern, but to get it the size shown you will need a worsted weight yarn (category #4). I had some leftover Lion Brand Wool Ease from a previous project, and it worked perfectly!
Feel free to use any size yarn you like to make a stocking, just be sure to adjust your hook size. If you aren’t sure what hook size to use, check the recommendation on the ball band.
Mini Holiday Stocking Pattern Details
This pattern is worked from the cuff down starting with single crochet ribbing that is worked in rows. Then it continues down to the heel, you turn the heel and continue to the foot.
It’s super simple and will have a video tutorial very soon!
