Design Story and Inspiration for These Face Scrubbies
Every year since 2020 I’ve done a knit version of the Holiday Maker’s Challenge, where a group of like-minded knitters come together to make as many gifts as we can before Christmas.
For this event, I design and give away 8 free pattern PDF’s that are giftable, fun, and not too difficult. They also need to be quick so we can make as many as possible.
This fits all the criteria with just a few easy rows to work up… and it takes just a small amount of yarn! Want to sign up for the challenge? Find the sign up box below!
Yarn Options for These Easy Gifts
The yarn used for this project was Yarn Bee Sugarwheel Cotton, which is one of my favorite cotton yarns. I love getting the ones that come in multicolor cakes and deconstructing them. Then, I always have colors that match for my smaller cotton projects like these!
You can use any DK weight cotton yarn (DK is a weight category #3 yarn), or use worsted cotton yarn if that’s what you have. They will just turn out a bit larger. Another of the goals of the challenge is to use up our stash yarn, so grab your cotton yarn and get making!
