I am still so in love with this yarn. I mean, really, the squishy factor of Red Heart Hygge yarn is amazing. I’ve been making these mittens for my whole family and I can’t stop!

Mittens are my favorite thing to make in the winter. I love that they look so complex and yet they really are easy. I love to experiment with different ribbing techniques and different stitches.

We also had a lot of fun taking these pictures. I got my then nine-year-old to take these pictures for the 30 Days of Cozy hosted on Made With a Twist. I also roped my hubs into being in them with me. He is such a good sport and always willing to go along with whatever idea I’ve cooked up this time! haha!

What about you? What is your favorite item to gift? If you’re intimidated by mittens, I hope you will give these a try. They make a great set of mittens and they aren’t as hard as they look.

I have made several things (including your mitten pattern) using the Hygge yarns! Even after washing, it remains soft and fluffy and … well — just super soft!!
Sadly, my local craft stores/material stores have stopped carrying this type of yarn. I’ve looked everywhere this winter for it and whatever I found, was on clearance.
Which was awesome of course. But sad too as they weren’t stocking any more of it.
    Very sad.

I’ll keep looking and hoping it will come back. I suppose there is always online, but I like supporting my local businesses.

Thanks for the new pattern! More mittens using my clearance Hygge yarn coming up!!
