Design Story and Inspiration for This Easy Blanket Pattern
One of my major goals for this year is to use up my stash yarn. I had two skeins of Wonderfluff Ombre in my stash that were just begging to be made into a blanket, so I decided to design a beginner-friendly crochet blanket using one of my favorite stitches!
This blanket pattern is SO easy because it’s only composed of chains, single crochet and double crochet. I’ve written the pattern in 8 sizes so you can make everything from a lovey to a king! Don’t forget to watch the video tutorial and subscribe to my YouTube channel. 🙂
Yarn Options for the Wattle Stitch Blanket
We Crochet Wonderfluff Ombre is what I had in my stash, and it’s a wonderful bulky weight yarn. It’s a category #5 yarn (bulky/chunky) so it works up quickly.
You can use any bulky weight yarn you like that gets gauge to get these measurements as listed in the pattern, or use any weight you have on hand combined with a stitch multiple of 3 and create your own size!

Final Thoughts on the Wattle Stitch Baby Blanket Pattern
I hope you’ve enjoyed this easy blanket pattern. I chose to make a baby blanket to use up the amount of skeins I had on hand, but make any size you like with this easy pattern!
Happy Crocheting!

Love your blog and video tutorials, but the bright white back ground on your blog is really hard on my eyes.
I’m sorry about that! I will see what I can do to help.
