What do you make for that person who doesn’t wear crocheted gifts?? How about a fun crochet polar bear ornament for the tree or decor!

Design Story and Inspiration for This Fun Crochet Ornament
I designed this pattern as part of the 24 Days of Quickies with Marly Bird, where you get free patterns daily!
This fits the bill by using up scrap bits of yarn!! Seriously, it doesn’t take much to whip up the body of this bear, and his little scarf uses even less. 😀
Yarn Options for This Easy Crochet Ornament
For this pattern, I used Lion Brand Feels Like Butta, which I’ve used several times for other projects and had some extra skeins lying around (plus some scraps!).
This is a worsted weight yarn (category #4), so if you want your project to be the same size as mine, go for that yarn weight.
Otherwise, feel free to use whatever yarn you want! Have a lot of blanket yarn lying around? Make it into a pillow! Got some thinner scraps? He would be adorable smaller, too!
Pattern Details for the Polar Bear Ornament
This pattern is made with two body sections (front and back), stuffed and single crocheted closed.
It s a super easy pattern made with just single crochet for the bear and half double crochet for the scarf!
