Crochet these adorable baby socks in a flash using double crochet for the Easy Crochet Baby Socks!
Design Story and Inspiration
For the Holiday Maker’s Challenge I designed a pair of Crochet Ankle Socks and they were very well received, so I wanted to make a tiny version.
I had some fingering weight yarn in my stash and went to work using simple double crochet, the way I love to make all my crochet slippers and socks. I love, love how these turned out!!
Yarn Options
The yarn I used had been separated from its label, but I know it was Yarn Bee Authentic Hand Dyed Tonal, which is a fingering weight sock yarn. I do not, however, know what colorway this is, but it takes so little yarn that if you have a bit of fingering weight scrap yarn it will work.
So choose any fingering weight yarn you like for this pattern. Gauge is important, so be sure to check gauge before you begin. Some crocheters reported having to go down a hook size.
