Crochet really is more than just a hobby, it’s amazing for your mental health with it’s calming, relaxing nature. Here are my favorite stitches for calming crochet sessions, whether I’m listening to music or binge watching my favorite show.
Wattle Stitch
The wattle stitch is a great stitch for mindless crochet, like when you want to binge watch a Netflix series or you’re riding in the car for hours and want to relax and crochet. Once you hit row two it’s a simple one row repeat, making it perfect for these occasions as you don’t have to memorize a stitch pattern. (It’s also the stitch you see in the first picture!)

Thermal Stitch
The thermal stitch is one of the thickest stitches out there, and it’s a simple variation of single crochet. This crochet stitch is amazing for anything that you want to be warm and squishy. It can be used for a hat, oven mitt, crochet potholder, baby blanket, scarf, headband, mitten, and more.

The beauty of using front and back single crochet stitches lies in the different effects they create. Alternating working in the front and back loops produces a wonderfully textured crochet fabric that will work wonders for your next crochet project.

Please provide me with clear instructions on how to begin a pattern; that is, show me from the very move to make the very first stitch. Everyone in the knitting/crocheting business fails to show you from the start.
