Soft and Swanky Cowl - Free Pattern by Amanda Saladin
Hope everyone had a great Christmas!  I spent some time before the holidays designing cowls for my older son’s teachers and I really enjoyed making this one using Red Heart yarns – Soft and Swanky, hence the name.  Red Heart sent me a skein of their sequined Boutique Swanky yarn to check out and I loved it – the matching sequins, the silkiness, the workability.  I thought it would look very nice paired with their Soft yarn so I chose a skein of Berry that I already had and held the two strands together.  It’s hard to see the sequins in the picture above (except the reflection of one on my chin – ha!) but they are there, evenly spaced and adorable.  I haven’t worked with sequin yarn much but didn’t find it to be a challenge at all.  I was afraid the sequins would snag or I would have problems with them, but I didn’t.

*Please forgive my lighting in these pictures, I needed to wrap this so we took a few quick pictures before I had to box it up!

Hi Amanda, Are you supposed to double the scarf, or is it just a tube? I’m making it now!

It is an infinity scarf so I guess that makes it a tube? 🙂

I think an infinity scarf means that it is twisted once, which makes an infinite loop with no beginning or end. My meaning is, do you double the scarf over it’s self when wearing it? Does it hang long and have to be looped around the head twice? Or is it a single tube that wear?

Oh! Sorry, I didn’t understand correctly. It is supposed to be looped around the head twice. That is how I am wearing it in the picture. Hope that clears it up. 🙂
