Design Story and Inspiration for the Marshmallow Bunny Plush
I have a few Easter-related patterns on the blog, like the Bunny Gift Bag, the Mini Bunny Gift Bag, a lop eared bunny and an amigurumi bunny, but I really wanted to add a new fun pattern for this season.
One of the most iconic Easter candies is a bunny-shaped marshmallow that I honestly do not like, but it’s definitely a symbol of the season, so I decided to see if I could crochet a fun bunny-shaped treat, and I really love the way it turned out. 😀
Yarn Options for This Crochet Plush Bunny
I chose to make this pattern in two different types of yarn and really you can make this pattern in any weight or type of yarn you like. I chose Bernat Blanket Dappled that I had left over from a blanket pattern and Premier Parfait Chunky that I had in my stash. Both turned out great, but as you can see from the pictures the finished size is definitely different depending on the yarn.
So feel free to use up that stash with this easy pattern! Make small bunnies out of leftover DK yarn, medium-sized bunnies with worsted weight yarn and larger bunnies with chunky or super bulky yarn. The choice is up to you!
Crochet Plush Bunny Pattern Details
This bunny is made in two parts that are identical, but no worries because there is no seaming! Simply hold the two layers together and single crochet around the edges. There is a full video tutorial below that can help every step of the way.

Final Thoughts on the Easter Marshmallow Crochet Bunny
I hope you enjoy this free pattern as much as I enjoyed designing it! I had a blast working up several of these little guys. 😀 My two youngest sons adore stuffed animals of any type, and two of these will be in Easter baskets very soon… the others will be gifts!
Happy Crocheting!
