Need a quick baby gift for a new mom in your life? These Simple Crochet Baby Mitts are just the ticket!

I’ve so enjoyed having a baby model again! Now, those of you who know me know that we are done having babies (four boys is all we can handle!), but I always jump at the chance to have a friend’s baby model.

These Simple Crochet Baby Mitts use such a small amount of yarn that they make a great stash buster, and they work up super quickly which makes them awesome for craft fairs, last minute gifts, or any time.

I used Lion Brand LB Collection Mako Cotton again, which I love. It’s affordable, great for babies and home, and has a wonderful feel to it.

I chose a neutral color, but they make some amazing shades of this yarn that would be perfect for babies. You can check them all out here.

I would love to be able to make these for our preemies who love to pull their lifesaving tubes out. But I am not experienced enough to figure out how to make it small enough for them.

Hi Lisa! Try going down in both hook size and yarn weight and see if this pattern can get small enough for them.
